At Mainstack, we are committed to providing a secure and compliant platform for businesses to thrive. To ensure a safe environment for all users, certain products and services are restricted or prohibited from being sold through our platform. This article outlines the types of products and businesses that are not permitted and explains the requirements for those with restricted business models. 

Please review these guidelines carefully to ensure compliance and avoid potential penalties.

Warning

Violating our terms or attempting to sell prohibited products may result in account suspension without notice. Mainstack allows the sale of digital products and services that can be fulfilled via our platform.


Acceptable Products:

  • Digital products e.g.; eBooks, PDFs, Design assets, photos, audio, video, etc.

  • Services, Consultations

  • Courses

  • Event tickets

  • Training, Masterclasses, etc. 


Prohibited Products:

  • Counterfeit products.

  • Donations or charity contributions without a product or value

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content.

  • Financial products (ATMs, money orders, peer-to-peer transmission, etc.)

  • Identity services (e.g., identity theft protection, credit repair)

  • Illegal or age-restricted products (e.g., drugs, alcohol, tobacco, weapons)

  • Products restricted by our partner payment processors

  • Products you don’t have proper IP rights for

  • Job boards

  • Private Label Rights (PLR) or Master Resell Rights (MRR) products

  • IPTV services, spyware, or parental control apps

  • Regulated items (e.g., CBD, gambling, lotteries, timeshares)

  • MLM or pyramid schemes

  • Debt relief services, including settlement and consolidation

  • Unauthorized intellectual property sales (music, movies, software)

  • Legal services like bankruptcy or bail bonds

  • Cannabis-related products and services

  • Non-fiat currency (cryptocurrency, ICOs, NFTs)

  • Unfair or deceptive practices (e.g., "get-rich-quick" schemes, predatory mortgage consulting)

  • Weapons, firearms, explosives, and dangerous materials.


Restricted Businesses

Certain businesses require additional due diligence to confirm eligibility for Mainstack services. When creating your account, you may need to provide extra information, such as relevant licenses or details about your business model.

Due to card network rules, financial partner requirements, and compliance obligations, businesses in the following categories (Crowdfunding, donation-soliciting, charity raffles, etc.) may not be approved to use our products. If approved, the approval is specific to each service and can be modified or revoked at any time based on our terms and conditions.


Prohibited Uses of Our Platform


To maintain a safe and trustworthy environment, the following actions are strictly prohibited, as they could compromise the integrity of our services or violate legal and compliance standards. 


Please review these restrictions to ensure your use of Mainstack aligns with our terms.

  1. Misleading Information: Do not provide false, inaccurate, or manipulated information about your identity, business, or any details requested by Mainstack. Notify us immediately of any changes to your personal or business information.
  2. Unauthorized Transactions: Do not use Mainstack to process transactions on behalf of another merchant or for undisclosed products or services.
  3. Virtual Terminal Use: Do not primarily use Mainstack as a virtual terminal (e.g., manually entering card transactions).
  4. Non-Bona-Fide Transactions: Do not process transactions without delivering goods, services, or legitimate donations (e.g., card testing).
  5. Chargeback Evasion: Do not attempt to circumvent card network chargeback monitoring systems.
  6. Sharing Cardholder Info: Do not share cardholder information with other businesses for payment processing or cross-selling.
  7. Intellectual Property Violations: Do not use Mainstack’s intellectual property (name, logo, trademarks) without written consent or in ways that could harm Mainstack’s brand or imply false endorsement.

For any uncertainties, contact Mainstack support before listing your product. Violating these policies may result in penalties, including suspension.
