June 2025 Policy Update: Introduction of Refundable Fee for Countering Disputes

Card networks have steadily increased fees related to handling disputes. To help manage these rising costs, we’re introducing a dispute counter fee starting June 17, 2025.
This additional fee will only apply when you choose to counter a dispute and will be refunded if you win. The existing fee for receiving a dispute remains unchanged.

What’s changing with dispute fees?
Beginning June 17, 2025, a new fee will be applied only when you counter a dispute. If you win the counter, the fee will be returned to you. The existing fee per dispute received is not changing.
Why is this new fee being introduced?
We incur an extra cost from card networks for managing disputes. These include charges for:
- A fee each time a dispute is countered and lost.
- A fee is charged when opening a dispute.
- A fee for accepting a dispute.
To offset these rising costs, we’re introducing this new counter fee.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required. These changes will automatically apply to your account(s) starting June 17, 2025.
